The Red Wing Shoes 2927 Sawmill in Briar Oil Slick is a Classic Red Wing Shoes Mocassin style and is made in Red Wing, Minnesota. The Red Wing 6" Moc Toe boot was originally designed for hunters and farmers in the early 1950s. The Red Wing Moc Toe was built to withstand hard labor and harsh weather conditions. The name Red Wing ‘Moc Toe' derives from ‘Moccasin', the traditional Algonquian Indian word for the U-shape design of the toe. The Red Wing Shoes Sawmill is a winter variation on the ultimate Red Wing classic: The Red Wing 875. The Red Wing 2927 boot has a black Vibram Lug outsole which provides maximum grip and outstanding comfort and is Goodyear welted with a storm welt to keep the cold wet out. The Red Wing 2927 Sawmill comes with a beige canvas lining and a felted wool insole to create extra warmth and a high quality collar made from the same deerskin as our Red Wing gloves. The 2927 boot is equipped with speedhooks and comes with the black/brown round taslan laces.

It takes more than 230 steps to handcraft each pair of Red Wing Shoes but it only takes three steps to keep them clean, conditioned and protected.

1. Clean
Light cleaning: Use warm water and soft bristle brush to remove stuck-on dirt. Then use a clean, dry cloth to wipe away any remaining excess dirt.

Deep cleaning: For heavily soiled areas, use a clean cloth or brush to apply Red Wing Shoes Leather Cleaner. Wipe the cleaner away with a damp cloth and allow the leather to dry.

2. Condition
Apply Red Wing Shoe Boot Cream with a clean, soft cloth. Shine the boot by brushing with a soft horse-hair brush.

3. Protect
Add extra protection to preserve your footwear. Red Wing Leather Protector provides an invisible shield from water, dirt, oil and mud. To extend the life of the boots, spray them with Red Wing Leather Protector before wearing them for the first time.

Fit guide
