To ensure that your garment will last and stay as nice as possible, we recommend following these simple steps when washing:
Technical water repellant fabrics:
- Close all zippers and flaps
- Use a small amount of liquid soap
- Do not use powdered detergent or fabric softener
- Wash cold, 30C, regular cycle with extra rinse if available
- Hang dry
- Reactivate the water resistant treatment by ironing the garment on a gentle setting with no steam. Protect the fabric with a towel between the iron and the garment.
Down puffers:
- Pre-rinse with cold water without detergent, saturating all materials with water
- Machine wash cold, 30C, regular cycle with extra rinse if available
- Use a liquid detergent recommended for down
- Tumble dry at a low temperature setting, together with a couple of dryer balls or tennis balls to de-clump and fluff up the down
- Repeat drying process on low temperature untill the puffer is light and fluffy. The fabric will feel dry long before the down inside is completely dry, so repeat until the garment feels light.
