One of this season’s definite essentials is the Japan White Nep. A beautiful and neppy chambray fabric in a fresh indigo colour woven on old style narrow shuttlelooms at the Japanese fabric mill, Maruwa. This particular fabric features a plain weave chambray construction with uneven weft yarns applying a slubby effect to the fabric. In addition to this a technique called loom chatter has been applied during the weaving process causing the loom to literally shake as it weaves which enhances the characteristic of the fabric as it leaves white cotton neps of fibre sticking out of the surface of the fabric.
Made in our longer cut shirt, Hill. Designed with longer and curved front and back hems, a subtler collar as well as a rounded yoke on the back. It has no patch-pockets or any other extraordinary detailing, making this shirt perfect for a more contemporary look. The Hill features a centre front closure with real stone buttons made at Louropel in Portugal, long sleeves ending in button cuffs and no side tabs. The garment features: - 5,5 Oz chambray made of 100% sanforized cotton - Woven by the Japanese fabric mill, Maruwa. - Real stone buttons made by Louropel in Portugal. - Stitched with high quality poly core cotton thread. - Made at Neto & Silva in Roriz Santo Tirso, Portugal. - Limited to 78 made.
