Yuketen Alan Brown
NOK 5.999,00 kr
Yuketen’s Alan boots are entirely handcut and benchmade in Mexico onto 1930’s American semi-modified lasts for the ideal union of comfort and style.
The fundamental components of this style are the handcut suede leather upper and the sturdy foundation that is constructed of multiple layers of hand-shaved 100% veg-tan leather and attached with lemon tree sourced wooden nails. The entire upper leather is lined with soft-tanned cow leather for added comfort and durability. Yuketen’s meticulous Goodyear stitches are made by a sturdy 1910 German-made welt stitcher and all Goodyear stitches are hand-notched for added security.
Perhaps the most fascinating detail of this style is the orthopedic fitting which improves posture and reduces foot fatigue. These remarkable features mark a new direction for Yuketen’s design aesthetic verging toward formal elegance while simultaneously maintaining all core principles and construction techniques for highest-quality handmade products.

How it's made
Each shoe is hand-stitches in Yuketen's Maine factory using a three-dimensional pattern. To closely mirror the incongruence of the human foot and deliver a molded fit, seven asymmetrical pieces of leather are hand-punched and hand-sewn with awl, needle, and thread on Yuketen's proprietary last. The result is that the "blucher" pieces are asymmetrical, and contour more accurately to the wearer's foot during lacing. The base of the vamp has been cinched to further ensure an integumentary fit.
Love & Care
Light cleaning: Use warm water and soft bristle brush to remove stuck-on dirt. Then use a clean, dry cloth to wipe away any remaining excess dirt.
Deep cleaning: For heavily soiled areas, use a clean cloth or brush to apply any leather cleaner. Wipe the cleaner away with a damp cloth and allow the leather to dry.
Proper conditioning helps preserve the finish and life of your footwear. Use a natural oil or natural leather conditioner. You can apply these conditioners with your fingers, a soft cloth or sponge.
Add extra protection to preserve your footwear. Use a Leather Protector to provide an invisible shield from water, dirt, oil and mud.
A new pair of Yuketen should fit comfortably tight on your foot, with enough room to freely wiggle your toes. Over time the full grain leather upper, leather footboard and cork midsole mold to your feet, creating an enduring and customized fit over time with each wear.
