Yuketen Johnson Oxford Brown
NOK 3.000,00 kr
Yuketen’s Johnson Oxford is a low-cut variation on Yuketen’s take on the classic Boondocker boot, reinterpreted through Yuki Matsuda’s design perspective. A cap toe with subtle perforation detailing in addition to the ever popular Vibram Christy sole bring this military classic into contemporary style and practicality.
Each shoe is Goodyear-welted in Canada with classic American machinery. The upper is crafted from rich and malleable pull-up leathers, resulting in wonderful contrasts and patinas over time. The updated shape of the Johnson originates from the mil-spec last used for this model that is specifically designed for army infantry to guarantee long-wearing comfort. Natural leather insoles ensure conformity to the shape of the wearer’s foot for long-term comfort in addition to a Vibram Christy sole for shock absorption and cushion. The Johnson also boasts a natural leather welt and leather laces to complete the outward statement of high-quality materials and construction.
The quality components and classic details that make up the Johnson Oxford are intrinsic elements of Yuketen shoes that reiterate Yuketen’s commitment to unique and fulfilling footwear.

Love & Care
Perspiration and rain are the enemies of leather. A non-varnished cedar shoe tree will absorb any dampness from your shoes, keep their shape and increase their lifetime.
After wearing them, always place your shoes on non-varnished shoe trees and leave them open to the air at room temperature (always away from sources of heat).
In rainy or snowy weather, clean them with a water and a clean cloth to avoid white marks appearing on the upper. If your leather-soled shoes become wet, leave them to dry on their sides to allow the water to run off more easily. In addition, to increase the lifetime of your shoes, we recommend alternating shoes, instead of wearing the same pair several days running.
Well before you notice that your shoes are becoming damaged, take the time to take care of them regularly. To do so properly, you’ll need to follow a few simple steps.
Light cleaning: Use warm water and soft bristle brush to remove stuck-on dirt. Then use a clean, dry cloth to wipe away any remaining excess dirt.
Deep cleaning: For heavily soiled areas, use a good leather cleaner. Wipe the cleaner away with a damp cloth and allow the leather to dry.
Cleaning salt stains: For salt stained leather, we recommend using Saphir's Winter Stain Remover. And afterwards protecting your shoes with Saphir's Super Invulner Spray to protect them from further stains.
Apply a high quality shoe cream, like Saphir’s creme 1925, with a clean, soft cloth. Shine the boot by brushing with a soft horse-hair brush. This will give much needed moisture to the leather, while giving protection against the elements and added shine.
When using a new product for the first time, we recommend testing shoe creams and conditioners on an inconspicuous part of the shoe before applying it the the rest of the shoe.
Add extra protection to preserve your footwear. Saphir's Super Invulner spray waterproofs the most delicate leathers, and offers superior protection against water, snow, stains and grease.
A new pair of Yuketen should fit comfortably snug on your foot, with enough room to freely wiggle your toes. Over time the full grain leather upper, leather footbed and leather midsole will mould to your feet, creating an enduring and customised fit over time with each wear.
