Great Yamaha Marine wind jacket that comes with quite the story! Made for the Nippon Challenge team in the 1992 America's cup. The Nippon Challenge marked Japan's first entry into the prestigious America's Cup in 1992, where they debuted an advanced new yacht design. Yamaha Marine embroidery at chest, and velcro patch on shoulder pocket. Large Nippon Challenge backprint, with Americas Cup 1992 written in applied textile lettes below. Typical 80's-90's nylon fabric with a soft lining, drawstring at hem, handwarmer pockets at hip and Yamaha Marine branded press button closure. The letter C in "Americas" is missing from the back, and two letters could need a drop of glue to be fastened. Some small spots on the front, but otherwise in good condition!
